PyWeek - White Pixel NinjaToday I had some spare time, so I decided to finish my pyweek warmup game. It's very simplified from what I intended it to be, but at least it's somewhat finished.Download White Pixel Ninja here. Feedback is appreciated. One pixel was enough to make a ninja. :) — Tee on 2007/03/28 17:16 of Welcome to World Corporation Comments: (log in to comment) |

I like the idea, but the game-play is difficult. The lines seem o be created sporadically, it took me several tries to find out I had to "draw" lines, but even then they wouldn't draw where I wanted them too.
I tried clicking one point and then another, but that didnt work.
dragging a line, which only seems to work 25% of the time and only if I move my mouse super-fast.
I tried clicking on the enemies, but to now avail :/
I would say the idea is cool, the graphics nice, the game-play buggy, and the instructions almost non-existent(I looked in the readme and it just said to use my mouse to slah the enemies, but didnt elaborate on what that might require...)
Overall, I get a nice feel from the game, if I move mouse in random directions as fast as I can :D

Thanks, RB. I updated README.txt for a better explanation. It sounded intuitive when I first uploaded it (it always does when you're the one making the game :)) but now I see it's not.I updated just the README.txt but I forgot it would change the link. I deleted the old one before I could realize that, sorry. Here's the correct link. If someone could update the link here and here, I'd appreciate it.

Changes to README.txt (just so people don't have to download the file again just to see what I changed):By Tee on 2007/03/28 19:39:
Also, I just realized this game depends a lot on mouse sensitivity. Oh well. At least I learned from the mistake; I guess that's what the warmup is for. :)If you can't slash, you might want to try raising your mouse sensitivity a bit.

nice simple game. The idea of a pixel ninja.. and leaving a trail of sword.. just awesome :)
