PyWeek - Jokenbots - feedback

3 4 4 Not challenging enough.
2 2 4 Nice game play idea, but it wasn't very playable...
2 3 4 The sound effects were cool but quickly became anoying - a little sparser use of the computer noises would be a better effect. It wasn't clear how close I could get to bots that were not infectable before I was killed, nor was it apparent where I could go and where I couldn't in some cases. Neat idea though.
5 2 5 Loved this! Very fun mix of rock paper scissors and metal gear solid :) The graphics were pretty bad, and the music was horrendously loud and annoying. Also lacked polish all around and was too short. Deserves another week of development or more.
2 2 2 The game doesn't seem to be very playable..
2 3 4 Couldn't figure how to play it :(
1 1 1 yes The game was completely unplayable, running at less than 1fps on a high-end desktop.
4 4 5 Very well done! I really enjoyed this game, and was impressed with the quality of puzzles that you put in. I liked the cutscenes quite a bit, and thought that the seg fault joke at the end was pretty good -- it made me laugh out loud. :) Well done! It would have helped to be able to click and advance cutscenes (for instance, for the tutorial) rather than to have it exit you out entirely.
All told, top notch game -- very well done! :)
4 4 4 Cool retro feel, awesome style, crazy wacky idea! I liked messing around with it even tho it took me a few minutes to figure out what the heck was going on! After a while things started to bog down, but overall very innovative interesting game with really creative, and odd concepts. Very cook, exactly the sort of innovative fun i expect from pyweek!
1 1 1 is boring
2 3 4 Too easy. The paper-rock-scissors thing is a good idea, but I don't think you used it to its full potential.
2 2 2 Just say no to street RPS
1 2 2 I don't like it
2 3 3 I couldn't get it to run by double-clicking the run_game scripts (Vista, python 2.5) but I could from the command line. I enjoyed the paper-rock-scissors mechanic, and the concept of being a virus is great. However I couldn't tell if I was supposed to be able to win the level or not? it seems impossible to kill all the robots, and nothing seems to happen when I get to the other side of the map. I think I'd love to play more levels, but I have no reason to want to play the same level anymore.
3 2 4 The idea seems nice. The mapping of robot types to colors could be more explicit. There seems to be some kind of feedback about when are you going to be caught, but it's not clear (nor the rules to get caught either) so it gets frustrating sometimes
1 1 1 yes The game don´t work. But i dont know why!
1 1 1 yes The game don´t work, but i don´t know why! I am a graphic artist.
1 1 1 yes Hangs at startup. Had to force interrupt: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] C:\pyweek>cd jokenbots-1.0 C:\pyweek\jokenbots-1.0>run_game.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\pyweek\jokenbots-1.0\run_game.py", line 15, in import main File "C:\pyweek\jokenbots-1.0\lib\main.py", line 10, in from title import TitleScreen File "C:\pyweek\jokenbots-1.0\lib\title.py", line 2, in import config File "C:\pyweek\jokenbots-1.0\lib\config.py", line 26, in pyglet.resource.reindex() File "C:\pyweek\jokenbots-1.0\lib\pyglet\resource.py", line 335, in reindex while path and not os.path.isfile(path): File "C:\Python25\Lib\ntpath.py", line 283, in isfile st = os.stat(path) KeyboardInterrupt C:\pyweek\jokenbots-1.0>
3 3 3 Maybe rock/paper/scissors should be replaced with something that fits more into the computer-theme. Lacks some music and better graphics, but basically it's ok.
1 1 1 yes For some unknown reason this game did not work for me (nothing happened after starting the run_game.py)
